Ahana Narayanan is an Emory undergraduate research intern with our team and joined us in the spring of 2023. This summer she was awarded a spot in the Summer Undergraduate Research Program at Emory (SURE) and conducted research with our MAMA BEAR project. She did a spectacular job and brought so much energy and excitement to the team! She was also very productive and will be presenting the results of her SURE project as an oral presentation at two conferences this fall! Her independent project, ‘Examining maternal childhood maltreatment correlates of maternal-infant emotional connection in a community sample of Black mothers and infants’, will be presented at the Georgia Undergraduate Research Conference in Valdosta, GA and the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists inPhoenix, AZ in November. We are so proud of Ahana’s hard work and glad she’ll be continuing to intern with our team in the year ahead!
